Gefira often criticizes the Western elites, the managers of the Western world, who are dragging this world into the abyss and into the moral swamp. In order not to be unfounded in the question of the moral decline of the elites of the West, let us look at the figure of the former chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Klaus Schwab.
He resigned after a letter from whistleblowers/signalists revealed a series of abuses he and his wife Hilda had committed. In recent days there have been leaks on the pages of the Swiss Sunday newspaper from an internal WEF investigation into the matter. Its preliminary findings confirm at least some of the allegations. Here they are:
① data manipulation: Schwab had to intervene in the Global Competitiveness Report, among other things, by changing the ratings of countries. In 2018, he is said to have downgraded the UK’s position to weaken the Brexit-supporting narrative and improve India’s position to avoid conflict with Prime Minister Modi.
② financial abuse: Schwab and his wife allegedly spent 1.1 million dollars on luxury trips to places such as the Seychelles or Morocco. They also had luxurious massages at the expense of the WEF. Hilda Schwab spent money from the organization even though she had no position in it. The couple were also supposed to use the villa owned by the WEF on Lake Geneva for personal purposes.
③ “Inappropriate” behavior: Instances of emails with sexual undertones sent by Schwab to his female colleagues were also identified. He was also said to create a work culture based on the intimidation of women and minorities.
There are many such cases in Western Europe. In Spain, for example, there are countless accusations against the ruling Prime Minister Sanchez: from buying sex to deep corruption. And Sanchez has probably never shown himself from a good side; neither during the flash floods last year, nor this year during the fires. But climate change is probably to blame, not a left-wing politician.
Cocaine on the train to Kiev, which Starmer and Macron were supposed to have used, should also be mentioned.
How self-evident and obvious the hypocrisy of the elites, who cry everywhere for equality, equality, tolerance, responsibility for the common good (and many similar banalities).
