I am burning what I used to worship, I am worshipping what I used to burn. That’s the life attitude of an average white European. Since the human brain is infinitely malleable and as such shows an amazing capacity to adapt to all and any new ideas, it will come as no surprise that very frequently yesterday’s embarrassment is given today pride of place whereas yesterday’s shameful acts have become the new normal. The human mind experiences little difficulty calling evil good and good evil; counting light as darkness and darkness as light, putting bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter, to quote a literary classic.
Even the universal symbol of ultimate evil (irrespective of whether you happen to be a believer or not, the symbol remains valid), Lucifer, was paid homage to by Saul Alinsky, Hillary Clinton’s most influential mentor, whose thoughts became the subject of her college thesis. He dedicated his (in)famous “Rules for the Radicals” to Satan,
Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins— or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer
and nobody raised a brow.
Have you ever wondered? Have you ever wondered what it means that the left, that being left, having leftist ideas has been elevated the the status of virtue whereas the right, being right, having right ideas has been degraded to the status of vice? Give it a thought for a moment. In many cultures, not limited to European, the word right is about being right, righteous, i.e. virtuous and lawful. For thousands of years you were paid utmost respect if you were asked to sit on someone’s right; you swore raising your right hand, you greeted others with your right hand, you put your right hand on the bible or your chest to solemnly declare or swear loyalty or make a promise. This same right, righteousness has been dragged through the mud, and, lo and behold, this word is spat out of the mouth with disdain. Remarkable.
The plasticity of the human brain is mind boggling and yet we somehow overlook it. Do you remember that history lesson from school or that documentary that you once saw on TV? Martin Luther, a monk who swore celibacy, married Katharina von Bora, a nun who swore celibacy, and the same man founded a church and has had followers by the millions to this very day. Any objection? Nay. Or do you remember that other lesson in history? Henry VIII divorces wife after another wife, has some of them beheaded, and happily establishes, yes, you remember it very well, the Church of England and becomes its head. Bishops and the believers (with very few exceptions like Thomas Moore) adjust their moral compass overnight and flock to his antechambers. These facts do not bother today’s followers of his spiritual heritage in the least.
To our grandparents divorce, abortion, contraception, sexualisation of children, patchwork family, gender mainstreaming, and, and, and were abominations. We have been effectively taught to embrace all this a mark of human progress. The new normal.
If an average German (it pains me to use as an example a member of this otherwise great nation) could have consciously lived long enough, a little bit more than a century, he most likely would have, successively, been (i) a faithful patriotic subject of the Kaiser, (ii) then a loyal citizen of the Weimar Republik, indulging in nihilism, (iv) then a militant, racially conscious member of the NSDAP, (v) then a racially blind citizen of either West or East Germany, supporting capitalism or socialism as the case may be, to (vi) ultimately become a self-hating post-German of the united Germany, busy replacing his nation with the Third World vagabonds and aborting himself or contracepting herself or miscegenating themselves out of existence. No backbone whatsoever, as if all these political, moral and cultural ideas were just a matter of changing fashion, where not even good taste is discerned from its bad opposite, as is the case of man-made ripped jeans. Consider. Ripped clothes for thousands of years and everywhere in the world were a sign of belonging to the lowest social stratum. And today they are flaunted by upper middle class educated women who are ready to pay for the beggar’s garb a lot. The infinite plasticity of the human mind in a nutshell.
