Turkey Tells Greece to Pull Troops From Island at Heart of Rift

Turkey warned Greece its soldiers on a tiny island violate a 1947 peace treaty, stoking tension between the two NATO members over energy resources in the Mediterranean.

US warship transits Taiwan Strait for second time in two weeks amid tensions with China

A U.S. Navy warship has transited the narrow and sensitive Taiwan Strait, Taiwan’s Defence Ministry said on Monday, the second such operation in two weeks amid rising tensions between China and the United States.

The ministry said a U.S. destroyer, which it did not name, had sailed in a southerly direction through the strait and was continuing to sail south. Source Economic Times
