The police were called for the fire of a vehicle this Monday evening on the boulevard Lénine in Vénissieux (Rhône). The firefighters arrived first on the spot and were the target of stone throwing. A second vehicle was set on fire at the same time. When the police also arrived to protect the soldiers’ intervention from the fire, they too were hit by stones, but also by chairs. OPEC+ headed for a clash with the U.S. as more members rejected President Joe Biden’s call for the group to raise oil production faster and help reduce gasoline prices.
