At least three people, including two policemen were killed in two separate attacks in eastern Turkey. In the first incident, two policemen were martyred and three others injured in a rocket attack carried out by PKK terrorists in southeastern (Diyarbakir Governorate) Turkey early Sunday. Turkey’s central bank demoted at least nine high-ranking officials including chief economist Hakan Kara, two officials said. The bank’s heads of research, banking, risk management and institutional transformation are among those who are getting new roles.
