According to the data of the World Bank, the average GDP per capita for the whole of China was about $13,217, measured in purchasing power standard (PPP). It is a similar level to that of Algeria or Serbia. However, GDP per capita of the richest parts of China, it means the cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai, is comparable to that of the Czech Republic or Portugal, and the quality of life in these great cities, measured by GDP per capita, is more than three times bigger than in the poorest areas of China, like Tibet or Yunnan.
