Russian oil and gas giant Rosneft on Wednesday announced they had signed a deal with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to develop five oil blocks despite escalating tensions in the region. In an official statement, the Russian crude producer said it had signed “documents required to put in force” production sharing agreements with the KRG which would allocate 80 percent of the projects to Rosneft. This time they are testing how far and how fast they are able to implement their ideas.

It could also be that the validity of the money would be limited in time and could only be spent for certain purposes. Electronically, that’s easy to organize. President Vladimir Putin told Gazprom PJSC to turn to refilling European gas-storage facilities next month, signaling that long-awaited additional Russian supplies could be on the way.
