Russia to hold biggest war games in nearly four decades

Russia will next month hold its biggest war games in nearly four decades, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu told Russian news agencies on Tuesday, a massive military exercise that will also involve the Chinese and Mongolian armies. The exercise, called Vostok-2018 (East-2018), will take place in central and eastern Russian military districts and involve almost 300,000 troops, over 1,000 military aircraft, two of Russia’s naval fleets, and all its airborne units, agencies quoted Shoigu as saying. French counter-terrorism troops open fire on suspicious car, vehicle on the run

Soldiers from Operation Sentinel, deployed in the aftermath of the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks, opened fire on a suspicious car that was trying to hit one of them. The driver is currently on the run and is wanted by police.
The incident took place in a suburb of Lille in northern France on Saturday evening. However, the information did not emerge in the French media until the next day. Source RT
