Is presidential candidate Călin Georgescu a political reincarnation of Pastor László Tőkés?

Over 30 years ago protests in Romania made a spectacular mark of the collapse of the communist system in Europe. Are the present protests in Romania going to be a mark of the collapse of the European Union?

Romania is having a fever. Romania is being brought to boiling point. One of these days Romania might explode.

Romanians more or less regularly have been taking to the streets over a couple of the last weeks to protest the decision of the Romanian Constitutional Court – in fact the decisions of the European dictators in Brussels. The decision was to annul the results of the presidential election that took place on 24 November 2024 on the flimsiest of grounds that there were ever of foreign interference in the form of exerting the political influence on the voters via TikTok. This most ridiculous justification underlying the decision to annul the election results has been compounded with others. What do we have, indeed! Yes, yes, the usual string of accusations that Călin Georgescu is far-right (how otherwise!), antisemitic (sure!), a sympathizer of fascism and Russia. One wonders which of these grave sins is the gravest. The list is not complete. Wikipedia has gathered all the remaining “nasty” facts about Călin Georgescu including his belief that humans did not land on the moon. Surely, an “intelligent” Wikipedia’s consumer will immediately classify Călin Georgescu as a nitwit. Some of the indictments, though, reveal why the managers of the European Union fear Călin Georgescu so much: Călin Georgescu thinks that Romania has been and continues to be exploited by Western companies and that the West has stemmed Romanian economic development. Now that’s something serious! Călin Georgescu might spoil the business of the many corporations. He could be far-right and even a fascist if only he did not want to deprive the powers that be of their profit! Fool that he is, he dared to touch the most sacred of the sacred: someone’s money!

The authorities did not stop at simply cancelling the vote. Since the polling data show that Călin Georgescu is now by far the most popular candidate, Bucharest – Romania’s capital – obviously took orders from Brussels, the overlord, to prevent Călin Georgescu from taking part in the repeat of the election that is planned for May this year. Indeed, when Călin Georgescu was filing his candidacy for the 2025 presidential election, he was detained and interrogated for a couple of hours. Two days later his candidacy was rejected. Democracy at work made by the EU.

The commissioners do not have a good memory. It was more than 30 years ago – that is well within living memory – that such protests in Romania brought about the collapse of Nicolae Ceausescu and the communist political system in the country. Similar protests did not erupt at that time in other socialist countries like Poland or Czechoslovakia, Hungary or Bulgaria or for that matter in East Germany: they erupted in Romania of all the places. Why?

Well, the communist authorities in the aforementioned countries were wise enough to feel the anger of their people, which resulted in their decision to cave in. as a result, there were only civilized, so to say, or mild revolutions or protests, round table talks and the like that gave vent to popular dissatisfaction with the political and economic reality. Only in Romania did the communist authorities not deem it clever to handle the rising tension with care: they chose to strengthen the iron grip on society and to suppress all manifestations of discontent by force and violence. So it came to pass that an initially insignificant protest in Timișoara that occurred in December 1989 morphed into a nation-wide revolution that brought about the collapse of Nicolae Ceausescu’s rule and, indeed, his death. Are the European commissioners not afraid of a repeat?

When one watches film footages showing the 1989 protests and compares them with the footages showing the 2025 protests, one thing attracts the viewer’s attention. In 1989, Romanians waved national flags with huge holes in their centre, an empty space left after the national coat of arms symbolizing socialist or communist Romania had been torn away. A clear message that the people were not merely against Romania’s President Ceausescu, but against the whole political system. What attracts attention in today’s protests is the fact that Romanians are waving plenty of Romanian national flags and… no flag of the European Union. Clearly, Romanians are aware of who the ultimate perpetrators of cancelling the election and banning Călin Georgescu

from the round in May are, and clearly Romanians say a big NO to the European Union.

The 1989 protests in Timișoara broke out over the person of Pastor László Tőkés, who was to be evicted by the authorities from his parish. The 2025 protests are over the annulment of the election results and over the banning of Călin Georgescu from presidential elections. Will Călin Georgescu become a symbol of another revolution that will be sparked not only in Romania but in the whole of the EU bloc?

Warmongering and Fear-Mongering

Women empowerment, indeed! Ursula von der Leyen and one Kaja Kallas are in the forefront of rearmament and aggressive policy of the European Union. Prime Minister of the European Union’s government has called on huge almost war-time expenditure – some 800 billion euros – on the military, while Kaja Kallas from teeny-weeny Estonia, vice-prime minister of the same supranational, Paneuropean government, flexes her? European? muscles in an effort not only to overcome Russia but also to take on… China! Wow! Really, women empowerment in action! The two women even look alike. Who said that men are aggressive and women are not? Whoever did, he had better reconsider.

Ursula von der Leyen’s idea goes by the name of Re-Arm Europe Plan. Faced with American disengagement from the war in Ukraine, European demagogues, apparatchiks and chickenhawks are throwing temper tantrums. You may bet that neither Ursula von der Leyen’s family nor the family of Kaja Kallas are or ever will be exposed to danger in case war with Russia breaks out. What they are preparing is for us alone. They and their company will only draw benefits from war mongering or from war.

Their hatred of Russia in general and of Putin in particular is passionate and implacable. Their greed is insatiable. Their drive for dominance is unparalleled just as unparalleled is their insolence and mendacity. Fear of Russia – a new treat for the Europeans after the notorious virus scare. Just as at the time of the so-called pandemic we were supposed to be wiped out from the face of the earth by the chemical compound attacking us surreptitiously, so now we are going to be invaded and enslaved by… Russians! And you know what? Europeans are going to buy into it lock, stock and barrel. They already bought into all this clap-trap about Russian threat many years before. This fire only needs fuelling, from time to time. This fire only needs to be fed on the black-and-white fairy tale according to which we, the Europeans are the good guys, they, the Russians, are the bad guys. It only needs Orwellian two-minutes of hate now and again, with the face of the dictator from the east to be spat on and screamed at. No big deal for European propaganda managers.

Once Ukrainians fell for this trap. They flexed their muscles in the belief that the whole West flexed its muscles with them. As a result, Ukrainians were oh so confident about their prevalence over Russia in everything. Yet, when push came to shove, they saw that they were left to their own devices. That is, yes, the West provided them with arms and intel, the West kept pummelling Russia with “sanctions” (while purchasing Russian gas via go-betweens), and the West saluted to Zelensky and pandered to his whims and wishes, but all proved to be of no avail. Worse, recently the United States – the West’s overlord – rode roughshod over Ukrainian president, over Ukraine as such, over all that heretofore was held oh so dear and sacrosanct.

Implacable hatred towards Putin on the part of Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas can surely be explained in a Freudian manner: the two women with their brains invaded by feminist ideas (think of Annalena Baerbock and her feminist diplomacy!) just cannot come to terms with the fact that a male, a white male, a white representative of patriarchy dares to oppose them and seems to be getting the upper hand! Indeed, it must be a nightmare with which Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas keep waking up in the dead of night, sweat on their bodies. Why, Ursula von der Leyen has become empress of Europe the likes of which history has never seen and – lo and behold – a Russian muzhik has thrown down the gauntlet and has questioned the moral and political preponderance of the progressive ideas made by the EU.

This sweaty nightmare that the two women experience must be compounded by the fact that another white, dominant male across the Atlantic took power and seems to be intent on establishing a friendly relationship with – who could have thought it possible a couple of months earlier! – Moscow. It is not Kamala Harris but Donald Trump on the Hill! How wholeheartedly would Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas embrace Kamala Harris at a meeting in Paris or London, or in Washington! Tough luck, though. Again two dominant males on the political stage, and – to make things even worse – a third one on the horizon: Xi Jinping in China! What the two women must experience would make a very interesting case for Sigismund Freud or for that matter Carl Gustav Jung.

There certainly is more to all this than meets the eye. Threat alleged threat from Russia is the declared problem, but what is the genuine aim? The genuine aim is concealed from us. Do you remember the public outrage when it turned out that Ursula von der Leyen ordered hundreds of millions of vaccines in a company where her husband was employed? Europe loves finger-pointing at Russia when it comes to corruption, when it comes to bribery, yet in this case everything has been swept under the carpet. The pandemic designed or exploited or both by the managers of the world enriched the same managers of the world, the same designers, the same exploiters. Millions for vaccine manufacturers and more power for politicians under the guise of the public good. It was as simple as that. Now what do you think what purpose the Re-Arm Europe Plan is going to serve? Yes, you guessed it right. The managers of Europe will line their pockets. Simultaneously they will be free and justified to blame all failures in economy and social policy on the war expenditure, on Russia, ultimately on Putin! Indeed, if there were no Putin, the European Union would have to invent one. More to it, the apparatchiks and demagogues of the European Union will feel justified in curtailing free speech under the disguise of preventing Russian propaganda! They could cancel election after election (think of Romania) because of Russian interference. What a godsend this Putin is, really!

And you may rest assured that although money will be needed for rearmament, there will be no slowing down of the policy of importing people from outside Europe. Miraculously, there will always be money for accommodating them. It is the indigenous Europeans who will pay the price for the war between Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas on the one hand, and Vladimir Putin on the other.

Coming back to Sigismund Freud and Carl Gustav Jung. The case of Kaja Kallas from Estonia is really fascinating and intgriguing. Her lilliputian home country borders on the gargantuan Russian Federation, and still she indulges herself in war mongering. There must be something the matter with her brain. A list of European cities that number more inhabitants than the whole population of Estonia would be longer than a hundred… or maybe I have exaggerated, but you get the point. Estonia has 1.3 million inhabitants of which Estonian as a mother tongue is spoken by merely 67%. So, a third of the population are not even ethnic Estonians. Guess who they are! Yes, you guessed it right: for the most part they are Russians. Is Estonia going to shell them like Ukrainians did the Russian minority in the Donbass? Is Estonia going to pick up a fight with Russia? Does Estonia count on the effectiveness of sanctions that the European Union will impose on Russia in case of aggression? Does Kaja Kallas really think NATO will go to war over one million Estonians somewhere on the east Baltic coast? If she believes it, then she needs to consult a specialist. If she does not, then why is she pursuing this policy of antagonizing Russia?

Consider also, that Estonia’s population was the largest when the country was occupied and exploited as it is fashionable to say today by the Soviet Union. In 1990, shortly before independence from the Soviet Union, Estonia numbered a bit more than 1.5 million citizens. Since that time the population trend is only downwards. Is it because of the many benefits that the membership in the European Union has blessed Estonia with?

Let us take on Ursula von der Leyen for a change. What she might have at the back of her weird mind is perhaps ultimately a war with Russia. That’s at least the impression that one gets while consuming this war mongering and fear mongering propaganda. Now, I would very much like to ask the European Prime Minister a simple question: does she think all those Third World people who have become Europeans at the stroke of a pen will rally around the star-spangled blue banner of the European Union and fight for it? Does she think the Nigerians and the Afghanis, the Syrians and the Libyans have left their war-torn countries and come to Europe for the purpose of… dying or becoming maimed in a war? Give me a break!

So, it is going to be the white, indigenous Europeans who will be made to fight in the name of Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas, that is, in the name of Europe, in the name of democracy and “values”. Yet, how many Europeans identify with Europe, with the alphabet sexuality, with diversity- equality-inclusion, with women empowerment, with, with, with? Are they going to defend these “values” and lose their limbs? I’m eager to see it happen!

Millions of Ukrainians have fled their country, reluctant to take up arms. Lots of them do not feel Ukrainians in the first place. To defend a nation you need to feel strongly about it. Now Europeans have been taught for decades that patriotism and national sentiment are evil, that masculinity is evil. How then can Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas count on European effeminate males who have unlearned manliness and forgotten patriotism to take up arms? I bet the two women can’t even grasp what fix they are in. They can’t grasp it not only because their mental faculties are not sufficient, but also because they have mingled with the EU apparatchiks and demagogues for so long that they have lost all and any contact with reality. Here think of Annalena Baerbock, Germany’s foreign minister, who boasted about her “feminist diplomacy” and you get the whole picture. These three women – von der Leyen, Kallas, Baerbock (soon to part with her ministerial position, what a loss for Europe!) – might act in the opening scene of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, bent over the cauldron in which they are boiling the hated Putin alive, while muttering war-mongering and fear-mongering curses.

Military (mis)calculation

Recently, Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk quoted the International Institute for Strategic Studies according to which Europe together with Ukraine has a strength of 2.6 million troops, the United States has 1.3 million troops, while China – 2 million and Russia barely 1.1 million. Then the Polish prime minister pathetically suggested that Russia should be crushed under such a force and should fear the West. Wow!

You know, Donald Tusk was a student of history. He must have been absent-minded during the lectures or he may have forgotten every bit of what he may have learnt. When throughout the history of humankind has it ever been a rule that sheer numbers always prevail in conflicts? An example from European history.

The Kingdom of Prussia comprised basically two relatively small territories, one around Berlin and on both sides of the Oder estuary, and the other on the Baltic Sea (present-day north-eastern Poland plus the Kaliningrad province that since World War Two belongs to Russia). These two territories were even not connected by land: they were flat, with no resources, and scarcely populated This small Kingdom of Prussia threw down the gauntlet to a huge Habsburg Monarchy (yesterday’s European Union in the centre of the Old Continent, made up of present-day Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, and a huge part of Romania) and won the wars of 1740-42 and 1744-45, tearing away from the Habsburg monarchy Silesia (today’s south-western Poland). In an attempt to regain the lost province, yesterday’s European Union, i.e. the Habsburg Empire, allied itself with Russia and France – two superpowers of that day – and again went to war against the little Kingdom of Prussia – the Seven Years’ War of 1756-63 – and… lost it a third time. The numerical advantage of the anti-Prussian coalition was enormous (the Habsburg Monarchy, France and Russia along with Saxony, not to mention many other German principalities) and yet it turned out the be of no use. Towards the end of that costly and protracted war Russia decided to withdraw its troops (just like today the United States is disengaging from the crusade in Ukraine), and since Russia left the battlefield, the alliance was soon dissolved.

Another example, an example from today, an example that everybody, not even one interested in politics, is aware of. The tiny state of Israel that is located in the sea of – nay – in the ocean of the hostile Arab, Islamic world. The state of Israel stands its ground, and has stood its ground since its inception. True, it has been supported by the United States, but even then: Israel is a tiny country surrounded by usually unfriendly, much more densely populated Arab states. Egypt alone has some 100 million inhabitants, while Israel merely 10 million of which 2 million are Arabs!

That’s the numerical part of the problem. The Polish prime minister did not take into consideration other factors, especially the factor of motivation. Why should the Portuguese or the Norwegians, the Greeks or the Swiss go to war with Russia over Ukraine? Why should they sacrifice anything for this war? Why should they compromise the quality of their life because of Ukraine of which they know next to nothing, of which the older generations did not even learn at school as a separate state because thirty years ago there was no Ukraine on the political map of Europe? Even if forced, Portuguese, Greek or Norwegian soldiers are not likely to really fight somewhere in the East, somewhere in Ukraine. Do you remember the Italian, Hungarian and Romanian soldiers that fought hand in hand with Germans on the eastern front during World War Two? They were usually more of a burden rather than real aid. Was it not the same with Napoleon’s incursion into Russia? The French emperor led troops from almost all of Europe. His numerical advantage was more than obvious. How did he fare?

What do numbers mean? Numbers only have their abstract value in abstract mathematical considerations. It is only in maths that every one and every other one is always the same two. In real life these two soldiers are by no means the same as those two soldiers, the military value of these two tanks and their crews is not comparable to the military value of those two tanks and their crews, and so on, and so forth. There are so many factors that matter that it is almost impossible to take them all into account. Numbers only win when other major factors are more or less comparable. Numbers in themselves are just stats, abstract metrics. Europe and the United States – to quote again Donald Tusk or the International Institute for Strategic Studies – have altogether 3.9 million of professional troops, Russia – 1.1: a proportion of roughly 4 to 1. What is reality? Reality demonstrates that Russia is holding a quarter of Ukrainian territory while Europe is flexing its flaccid muscles and issuing threatening statements – now from Paris, now from London – and becomes ever more livid with its helpless – childlike – hatred of Russia.

Crusade in Europe

It was eighty years ago that Europe was liberated from fascism by Americans and Russians. Dwight Eisenhower, the commander-in-chief on the Western front, wrote about this effort in his “Crusade in Europe.” The story is repeating itself: by an odd quirk of history the European Union with its authoritarian inclinations, headed by – funnily enough – Germany, stands again in need of liberation, and again it is the Russians from the east and the Americans from the west who are doing this necessary job. They are carrying out another crusade in Europe.

This time the initial blow from the West was delivered by JD Vance, American vice president, at the Munich Security Conference, which is held annually. What he said was a master stroke, a magisterial speech (transcript and audio). Vice President JD Vance ran afoul of the European dictatorial establishment delivering a few knock-out blows of truth and common sense. The assertion that Europe is not threatened from outside – neither by Russia or China – set the stage for what followed. Europe is a threat to itself, Europe is sliding into fascism (though JD Vance did not use this term) because freedom of speech and free elections are anathema to the men and women at the top of the European pyramid. The commissioners have learnt how to keep European nations on a short leash, how to keep control of their minds and actions, how to steer public opinion and browbeat opponents into submission or silence. The EU commissioners are viscerally opposed to democratic processes just like their spiritual predecessors in the Soviet Union once were: they skew or engineer elections (Romania is a prime example, which JD Vance makes use of), they fabricate false narratives, and they act contrary to the wishes of their voters, especially in the case of immigration, as they want to settle Europe with people from outside the continent.

In Munich, Brussels’ acolytes and protégés suffered enormous damage to their prestige, to their stature. They have been exposed, their schemes have been laid bare. Contrary to what the commissioners wanted their subjects (yes, subjects, because Europeans can barely be viewed as citizens) to believe in they have been unmasked for what they are: totalitarian bullies whose lexicon does not contain words like compromise or freedom or democracy. Bullies who are democrats in name only, intimidators who cobble together laws that

  • impose heavy media censorship or shut down social media;
  • cancel or invalidate elections;
  • criminalize silent prayer in the vicinity of abortion clinics, also prayers held at homes that happen to be within the so called protected zones of the said clinics (all of this mentioned in JD Vance’s speech);
  • ruthlessly suppress alternative viewpoints.

Indeed, JD Vance – just like Dwight D Eisenhower eight decades earlier – has launched a crusade in Europe. For a crusade it is, complete with a spiritual fight. Europe has been embroiled in a spiderweb of inhuman ideologies just as it was embroiled in them towards the end of the first half of the 20th century. The EU bureaucrats are afraid of the voters just like their Bolshevik predecessors in the Soviet Union were, and the EU bureaucrats are rabidly anti-Christian just like their fascist predecessors in Germany were. Just think of it: one gets fined and imprisoned for silent prayer in the street or at home! If that does not prove the existence of Satan and his followers than I don’t know what does. Simultaneously, the ugly repellent repulsive disgusting revolting sickening nauseating obscene loathsome alphabet-parades are not only allowed but also encouraged and propagated! Dante’s inferno, indeed, sewage is backing up into our homes, into our public spaces, into our lives.

And to top it all, rather than quoting Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther King or Mahatma Gandhi – the darlings of the Western world – to wind up his speech, JD Vance quoted Pope John Paul II, who famously said “Do not be afraid” to the crowds gathered in Warsaw in 1979, the crowds that were oppressed by the communists. John Paul II addressed these words primarily to the common people, JD Vance addressed them to the commissioners, for they are scared of their people across Europe just as their predecessors in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union once were. And no wonder, the EU commissioners are the same ideological kinsfolk whose leftist members once forcibly controlled the Eastern bloc. Proof? All the former communists from central and eastern Europe flocked to the European Union without a second thought. Obviously, like draws like.

Freaking out in a meltdown

The news was a bombshell! President Donald Trump called President Vladimir Putin! Worse, President Donald Trump and the closest men in his administration have made overtures to negotiations with Russia in that Ukraine will not be a member of NATO nor of the European Union, nor regain its territories (US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth’s speech in Brussels, Feb 12, 2025). Still worse, it looks like the negotiations between the United States and the Russian Federation might take place without the European Union! That they will take place without Ukraine goes without saying. Three years of muscle flexing on the part of the European Union, three years of warmongering, three years of sanctions, three years of the rabidly anti-Russian agitprop, three years of lavishly honouring President Zelensky, three years of this and that have been thrown out the window, have gone into the gutter, have gone down the drain.

Take a look at the livid outraged infuriated hopping-mad wrinkled formal manageresses of the Union: Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas; take a look at that bellicose boss of NATO: Mark Rutte! They all somehow did not expect it, and yet they did, once Donald Trump had won the election. They know not what to do now. They are likely – as said above – to be left out of the equation, chased away from the negotiating table. As the saying goes, those who are not sitting at the negotiating table are lying on it. Ukraine certainly will be lying on the table and be operated on. An organ or two for Russia, an organ or two for the United States. An organ may be territory, natural resources, political control, whatever. Certainly, Ukrainians will have no say. And most likely Europeans won’t have a say either!

SecDef Pete Hegseth

Couldn’t it all have been foreseen right at the start, three years back? Does one need to be an experienced politician to figure out the military and economic disproportion of the players involved in the hostilities? One must have been fed on egregious glaring lies to have believed that Russia was about to collapse with the first wave of sanctions while confronting gallant Ukrainian soldiers! One must have been on a dope to have imagined that Ukrainians would cross the border and march into Russian territory! One really must have been out of his senses to have assumed such a scenario!

Three years, allegedly half a million killed in action, hundreds of thousands maimed, tens of thousands missing, a country experiencing wide-spread damage, devastated families, decimated generations of young men… What has been achieved? How can the Western leaders soothe their conscience? You know how: they have no troubled conscience. They are like Madeleine Albright (just look at her kind face) who justified the death of half a million of raqi children; they are like Zbigniew Brzezinski, for whom the world was a chess board and nations – consequently – chess pieces; they are like Henry Kissinger, who left a legacy of bombs and chaos in Cambodia.

Chancellor Scholz says Germany is in danger because of the talks between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin! In danger? What does he mean? Is Russia going to march across Poland and assault Germany? Why? Because Russia is desperate to take care of the millions of the Third Worlders and thousands of sexual perverts between the Oder and the Rhine? My oh my!

Orbán’s speech in European Union

On 9 October 2024, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán delivered a speech in the EU Parliament, occasioned by Hungary’s current half-year presidency. He addressed his words to the European government misleadingly being sold off as a commission and the European president, also misleadingly being referred to by some other tricky title. The Hungarian Prime Minister, known for his common sense and a courageous political stance, threw a gauntlet to Ursula von der Leyen’s stiff face, to wit that the European Union must change, and that Hungarian presidency would be dedicated to this task.

Viktor Orbán pointed to the decline in European economy and named the causes: the green transition and the fact that Europe had cut itself off from Russian oil and gas. The green transition was not feasible for the foreseeable future while lack of the cheap energy resources caused the prices of electricity to shoot through the roof.

The hottest topic that the Hungarian Prime Minister touched was immigration. Viktor Orbán has been known for years for his stance against irresponsibly letting in millions of people from outside the continent. As we remember, he had a protective fence built along Hungary’s southern border, and has never slavishly bowed to the EU’s policy of importing settlers from other continents. The Hungarian Prime Minister demanded that Europe be protected by all member states. Evidently in an attempt to win the leftists members of the European Union’s parliament to his argumentation, he said immigration caused a rise in anti-Semitism, violence against women and homophobia – the three points that the left is so sensitive about. Forlorn hopes. Viktor Orbán is regarded with contempt by the European leftists managers who would gladly throw him in Dantesque inferno quite close to Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko or – for that matter – General Franco or Benito Mussolini. The Hungarian Prime Minister never shied away from explosive topics and never catered to the woke narrative, nor was he afraid of any backlash. Viktor Orbán was unapologetically himself, which cause much huffing and puffing among the leftist parliamentarians.

One may admire Viktor Orbán’s courage and at the same time wonder at his naiveté: does he not know that immigration is wanted, desired, planned? No argumentation against it – be it reasonable or emotional – will ever work.

The Hungarian Prime Minister also advocated Serbia’s membership in the European Union, absent which the continent and especially the Balkans, as he said, would never be politically stable.

Everything and anything that he said was enough to rough a few feathers among the left-minded European do-gooders, but to make them even angrier, towards the end of his speech he said that Hungarians “strive for a Europe that fears God” [emphasis added]. Gee…
No wonder then that the Ursula von der Leyen, the Union’s president, sitting in the director’s chair and watching whether the politically correct script is followed, exploded and said a couple of bitter words aimed at Viktor Orbán.

In an attempt to shame Viktor Orbán and especially to win the audience, Ursula von der Leyen compared Ukraine’s resistance in its war with Russia to the Hungarian uprising of 1956 (a comparison Viktor Orbán vehemently objected to in his response later on as unsubstantiated), and the head of the European Commission had even the cheek to say that Ukraine defended its sovereignty as if sovereignty of particular national states was the value that the European Union cared for! This is insolence pure also in the face of the fact that “Brussels takes Hungary to court over its controversial ‘national sovereignty’ law” because this legislation is in breach of the EU law”!

In a slightly emotional response Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán concluded that the European parliament was not interested in a serious discussion of the problems that he had presented, but, sadly, only in levelling accusations at Hungary. This being so, Viktor Orbán did not feel restrained by courtesy and fired away what he really wanted to say to the audience in the first place, to wit that the European Union’s parliament was known for attacking right-leaning and patriotic politicians or deputies. Viktor Orbán said – this time openly – that the Union had recklessly entered to Ukrainian conflict and grossly miscalculated, but, rather than thinking about talks, about diplomacy, it continued to prolong its failed policy, with no regard for the thousands people who dying every week in the east.

Then the Hungarian Prime Minister hit the nail on the head, exposing the European Union’s hypocrisy as he said that many Western countries were “trading covertly with the Russians through Asia, bypassing the sanctions.” He went on to say that “the European Union exports a billion dollars more a month to certain Central Asian countries than it did before the Russia–Ukraine war. (…) This is how German, French and Spanish companies avoid sanctions. (…) Since the outbreak of the war, you Western countries have actually bought 8.5 billion dollars’ worth of Russian oil from Turkish or Indian refineries. (…) In 2023 you Westerners bought 44 per cent more Russian oil than a year earlier. The tax revenue your companies paid into Russia’s budget was 1.7 billion dollars. And you’re accusing us of friendship with Russia?”

A voice of defiance, indeed. The reception that the Hungarian Prime Minister received from the left-minded majority of the parliament was hostile to say the least. Add to this no or little support from other central European countries like Poland or Czechia, terrified of saying the wrong word and you have the picture: a lone sheriff in a den of wreckers of Europe.

Had they known, the citizens of former communist countries would have embraced Communism!

Georgia is a small country in the Caucasus. It does not even have four million inhabitants. Paris has more, London has more, and Berlin has approximately the same number of people. Yet, Berlin occupies an area of less than 1.000 square kilometers while Georgia’s area amounts to 70.000, i.e. Georgia’s area is seventy times as large. How many Americans out of every 100 could point at Georgia on a map? How many Americans out of every 100 could say anything about Georgia, without confusing the country with the American state? How many Americans out of every 100 even know that there is a country – a nation – by the name of Georgia in the first place?

Yet, this top democracy, this paragon of human rights – yes, we are talking about the United States – thinks it right to dictate to all the world’s nations, not excluding the tiniest of them, lying in a God forbidden corner of the globe, how they ought to live, how they ought to govern themselves, what laws they are allowed to pass and which laws they are forbidden to pass. This is also true of the relations between the big United States and tiny Georgia.

Georgia has aroused American concern twice within a couple of recent months. First, when Georgia’s parliament passed a law about foreign agents, and second when the same parliament passed a law banning homosexual propaganda. Washington along with its Brussels just cannot let such things go, they just cannot leave a tiny nation be. They need to watch their legislature closely and administer punishment the moment Georgians conduct their affairs in ways that the West does not like. One wonders why should there be a parliament in Georgia if all it is allowed to do is to copy Western laws? Why not a bunch of translators instead whose task would be to put in Georgian what the powers that be in Brussels and Washington want from them?

The law about foreign agents makes it mandatory on the part of an organization that operates in Georgia and is financed up to a certain level with foreign money to reveal this fact i.e. to register as a foreign agent; the law against the propaganda on the part of sexual deviants does not prosecute such individuals: it merely does not allow them to show off to the whole world which forms of copulation they practise. Never mind! Georgia has commited a crime. Georgia has committed a crime against humanity! Georgia has enacted anti-human, anti-liberal, anti-democratic legislation. News about the alleged anti-human, anti-liberal, anti-democratic legislation is quickly spread among others by Radio Free Europe (yes, it is still in operation!) and Voice of America. Funny, but citizens of the Soviet Union along with the citizens of the Comecon countries used to listen to the two broadcasters for years in search of reliable information. And you know what? Had the West propagated sexual perversions back at that time, the citizens of the Soviet Union and its European dependencies would have embraced Communists as defenders of… Christian! morality.

Sadly, no longer so. As it is, for the last thirty years since the fall of the USSR, the brains of the said citizens – especially of new generations – have been largely processed by the Western influence, so now the majority of them have had their mindsets changed. Still, small Georgia, which, too, has been subjected to Western propaganda for decades, has dared to throw down the gauntlet to the Empire. You may rest assured that a colourful revolution in Tbilisi (Georgia’s capital) is in the making.
